Environment
Environmentally conscious and considerate behavior is an important concern for many pilots and airfield operators. Nevertheless, even small motorized aircraft need fossil fuels - at least until now. Even though light aviation in Switzerland only accounts for a negligible proportion of CO2Â production in Switzerland (around 0.03 % in relation to AVGAS and MOGAS), many players in the light aviation industry take their responsibility seriously and promote innovations and developments that make the hobby and profession more environmentally friendly wherever possible. This makes it all the more important and urgent for the authorities to support these new technologies and make them available to pilots.
As a service, interested parties should receive news on environmentally relevant developments here, as well as access to documents, information sheets, instructions and links.
The Aero-Club of Switzerland offers environmental advice and assistance in connection with light aviation at any time.
Calculate your emissions & support climate protection
Opt for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) or effective climate protection initiatives
Based on the calculated CO2 emissions, volunt.aero currently offers two options for making an effective and transparent contribution to climate protection. These can be investments in the climate protection initiatives of myclimate or in Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).
