Airspace
The Airspace Department of the Swiss Aero Club is committed to ensuring that Swiss airspace is used as freely as possible for light aviation. This requires participation in various committees and project groups as well as active involvement in consultations. As an active powered aircraft pilot, our Head of Airspace, Chrigel Markoff, is very familiar with the complex subject matter. Gabriel Rossier will continue to work as a freelancer.
AeCS airspace distributor
Several times a year, the FOCA holds hearings with all associations on temporary or permanent planned airspace changes. It is sometimes difficult for the AeCS to identify all or the right contact persons or airspace users concerned. For this reason, the AeCS has recently started sending all consultations via a distribution list by e-mail to clubs, groups, airfields or interested private individuals. Anyone who has a legitimate interest in a proposed airspace change can reply to the e-mail within the specified period and propose corresponding change requests. The AeCS will then examine these and, if necessary, include them in its statement to the FOCA.
The airspace distribution list is not a newsletter. It is used exclusively for mutual information on airspace projects. Interested pilots, club boards or airfields can simply send an e-mail to luftraum@aeroclub.ch to.
