Petition for light aviation at EuroAirport
In summer 2025, the Board of Directors of EuroAirport decided to discontinue General Aviation (Zone North) at the end of 2026. In a letter dated March 4, 2026, an independent committee made up of various users of General Aviation called on the Board of Directors to reconsider this decision. With the petition launched here, the committee would like to highlight the great diversity and broad benefits.
General Aviation has been part of EuroAirport since its foundation. GA contributes to operational diversity, is relevant for education and training (e.g. air traffic control, obtaining and maintaining licenses) and strengthens the regional anchoring of aviation. Whether for passionate private pilots or future and professional airline pilots, GA offers a variety of people access to all facets of aviation.
