Electrifly in Bern: The batteries are charged!

On the weekend of September 12–13, Electrifly-In Switzerland will host its 10th edition. The nationwide event on sustainable flying, held at Bern Airport, offers a diverse program featuring a varied exhibition, presentations, and an interesting eTalk. In addition, there will be a cozy food and drink area and the opportunity to take introductory flights in an electric aircraft.

Electrifly-In Switzerland kicks off on Friday evening (September 11) with a networking event. The invited guests will be welcomed by Matthias Jauslin (Member of the National Council, President of the Aero-Club of Switzerland), Raphael Lanz (Member of the Cantonal Government, Director of Economic Affairs, Energy, and the Environment for the Canton of Bern), Jean-Michel With (Vice Mayor of Belp, Board Member of IG Berner Luftverkehr), and Urs Ryf (CEO of Bern Airport).

Insight into the Latest Technologies

In the hangar at the federal base (the «Giessenbad» bus stop), various national and international development teams are showcasing their projects, technologies, and achievements. Discover what lies behind the following names: «1Comet,» «Milan Aircraft,» «Cellsius,» «AeroDelft,» «Elektra Solar,» «Smartflyer,» «Unicorn Aviation,» or «Electric 131 Bücker Jungmann»! The fly-in will be accompanied by a diverse symposium featuring various presentations—including a report by Uwe Nortmann, who flew his electric aircraft from Bavaria through Sweden all the way to Finland. During the eTalk panel discussion, engineers and a futurist will look back on the past 10 years and look ahead: How will future aircraft be powered? The discussion will be moderated by Alex Miescher.
