JULA summer youth camp in the Engadin
From July 27 to August 2, S-chanf will host the 41st edition of the of the one-week aviation youth camp. If you are between 14 and 16 years old, are interested in flying and want to learn and experience something during your summer vacation, you will love participating in the JULA!
During this week, you will build a rocket or a hot air balloon under expert guidance; you will learn how to make a piece of wood fly and find out why an airplane can fly at all. You will acquire basic knowledge of aerodynamics through experiments. A Swiss captain will tell you how he became a pilot, what his day-to-day work is like and what you can experience in this profession. Would you like to know how you can become an F/A-18 or Super Puma pilot? Let us show you what you have to do and ask your questions directly to the pilots. A highlight of the camp week is the visit day at Samedan airfield. There you can marvel at the Swiss Air Force PC-7 team, talk to pilots and sit in the cockpits of various aircraft.
This and much more is on offer at the JULA, which takes place during the summer vacations at the military camp in S-chanf (Engadin). It is organized by the Aero Club of Switzerland under the patronage of the Pro Aero Foundation. Experienced camp leaders will accompany you throughout the week.
The low cost of CHF 299 per student includes accommodation and meals, building and craft materials and an excursion to Samedan airfield with included! Travel costs between home and camp are not included in the participation fee. AeCS
