New Commemorative Coin: «125 Years of the Aero-Club of Switzerland»
On October 22, 2026, Swissmint will release a commemorative coin titled «125 Years of AeCS.» This second commemorative coin in the «Swiss Aviation» series depicts a symbolic journey through the history of aviation.
The image gives the impression of sitting in an airplane on a runway marked with the number 125. Surrounding this cockpit, a brief history of aviation and light aviation unfolds in segments: from balloons to fixed-wing aircraft and models, to parachutes and helicopters. In this way, the coin embodies 125 years of aviation history and, with it, the dynamism and fascination of flight. The obverse of all three coins in the three-part «Swiss Aviation« series features the face value of 20 francs, accompanied by the inscription »CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA.” At the center is a propeller that evolves into a turbine. The mintage consists of 3,500 proof coins and 8,000 uncirculated coins.
Price: Uncirculated 65 CHF, Proof 110 CHF
