Light aviation conference

Around 100 participants, exciting presentations and networking at all levels: the first AeCS Light Aviation Conference in Lucerne was a complete success.

In addition to the Central Board, representatives of clubs, the 8 divisions and the 35 regional associations as well as various guests were invited. Central President Matthias Jauslin provided information on the status of the structural and organizational reform of the AeCS. Former air force chief Peter Merz described his move to skyguide management and the challenges facing air traffic control. Thomas Bucheli from SRF-Meteo showed in an entertaining way how weather forecasts are produced, and Gianpaolo Cecchin from the FOCA presented the FASST-CH project. After a short panel discussion, there was plenty of time to chat over an aperitif riche.

Here you can find the presentations.

The panel discussion also focused on the benefits of AI in aviation.
