From June 15 to 17, France will host the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains. This means severe restrictions for business aviation and general aviation in western Switzerland. A look at the NOTAM is essential.

Visual flight traffic, non-commercial instrument flight traffic and the operation of unmanned aircraft (drones and model aircraft) will be severely restricted throughout western Switzerland. A restricted area of 25 NM has been imposed around Lausanne and Evian. The area around Geneva Airport is also restricted. The airfields of La Cöte (LSGP), Montricher (LSTR), Bex (LSGB) and Yverdon-les-Bains (LSGY) will be closed.

According to the latest information, the exclusion zone will be activated as follows:

Fri, June 12, 2026, from 09.00 to 12.00 a.m.
There are no restrictions on Sat, June 13 and Sun, June 14.
The exclusion zone will then be activated from Monday, June 15, in the morning, until Thursday, June 18, 03:00 LT.
Commercial IFR and VFR civil flights to and from Payerne (LSMP) are permitted. Flights at Môtiers (LSTO), Ecuvillens (LSGE) and Saanen (LSGK) aerodromes are permitted, subject to compliance with defined routes.
