Balloon christening on the Bundesplatz in Bern takes place!

The balloon christening followed by the launch of our anniversary balloon will take place tomorrow, Sunday, March 22. The balloon launch itself is scheduled for around 4.30 to 5 p.m., depending on the wind. 

After we had to postpone the event last Sunday, the weather gods have now been a little kinder, so that the event can now take place. The filling of the balloon in front of the Federal Palace will begin at around 3 pm. The christening by Ruth Metzler, President of Swiss Olymipc and former Federal Councillor, and aviation pioneer Bertrand Piccard is scheduled for 4 pm. We look forward to welcoming visitors, but would like to point out that we will not be running any catering services.
