Air & Space Days at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne

From October 2 to 4, 2026, the Air&Space Days will once again take place at the Swiss Museum of Transport. The Aero-Club of Switzerland will also be there this year.

On October 2, 2001, Swissair went bankrupt. It’s a date that still resonates with many people today. The Swiss Museum of Transport features several artifacts from Swissair’s once-glorious era, such as the Convair Coronado, which can be viewed this weekend. There will also be lectures and film screenings. The AeCS will have a booth in the outdoor area, where it will host demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday featuring scale helicopters, aerobatic models, and even a remote-controlled hot-air balloon. Anyone who has never seen the AeCS anniversary balloon can catch a glimpse of it later on Saturday afternoon, when our balloon will welcome the steamship Uri, which, like the AeCS, is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
