Swiss Gliding Championships in Grenchen

The best cross-country glider pilots competed in Grenchen from May 17 to 23. The Swiss champions are Yves Gerster (mixed open) and Yves Müller (15 m).

Three of the seven competition days had to be neutralized due to the weather. In difficult conditions on Friday afternoon, the last day of the competition, 29 pilots and one female pilot took off again to fly home the last points.

Swiss champion in the 15m class was Yves Müller, ahead of Simon Gantner and Thomas Künzi. Yves Gerster won the mixed open class ahead of Gaby Rossier and Ueli Messmer. A detailed report will appear in the next issue of AeroRevue.
