FOCA Annual Safety Report 2024 published
The Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) processed over 12,500 incident reports in 2024 - significantly more than in previous years. This is according to the recently published Annual Safety Report. These reports are used to continuously develop safety on the ground and in the air.
The majority of the incidents recorded in the FOCA's Annual Safety Report relate to commercial aviation. The fact that there were almost 20% more reports of near misses involving aircraft in the air and the same number of conflicts with drones is unpleasant. Accidents in light aviation claimed the lives of six people last year.
