In the Rega project in K\u00e4giswil OW, research by \"20 Minuten\" reveals a very close connection between an architect, a politician and the air rescue organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Specifically, it's about Trudi and Arthur Ab\u00e4cherli. She is an Obwalden cantonal councillor (FDP) and is at the forefront of the political fight for Rega's relocation to K\u00e4giswil. He is an architect - and, as Rega has now confirmed, he is \"representing the client together with two Zurich architects\". It also became known that the cantonal councillor had previously worked for Rega boss Ernst Kohler. The connection of interests \"blew up\" by chance, as the President of the Obwalden Airfield Cooperative, Thomas Geissd\u00f6rfer, told \"20 Minuten\": he was passing by the airfield by chance and saw a group of people on the meadow next to the runway. \"I approached them and asked what they were doing here.\" One man then introduced himself as \"the architect of Rega\". \"At first he didn't want to give his name. When asked, he then introduced himself as Arthur Ab\u00e4cherli.\"<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, May 5, the AeCS, together with the Swiss Airfield Association and the Obwalden Airfield Cooperative FGOW, submitted a petition to the Federal Council to preserve the K\u00e4giswil airfield. Of the almost 11,000 signatures, a third came from Central Switzerland.<\/p>\n
