Remarkable: 2000 signatures come from Obwalden, 650 of them from the local community itself. This underlines the local roots of the K\u00e4giswil airfield.<\/p>\n<p>This forms an important regional training platform for powered and glider flights in Central Switzerland. The Federal Council's current aviation policy report from 2016 (LUPO) clearly states that the airfields are particularly important for training and further education. The substance of Switzerland's airfield landscape should be preserved. K\u00e4giswil airfield is also listed in the existing Federal Aviation Infrastructure Sectoral Plan (SIL), and the object sheet was adopted by the Federal Council in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The petition was presented to the Federal Chancellery on May 5 by AeCS Central President and National Councillor Matthias Samuel Jauslin, VSF President Peter Tsch\u00fcmperlin and FGOW President Thomas Geissd\u00f6rfer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tele1.ch\/nachrichten\/private-kaempfen-um-flugplatz-kaegiswil-petition-eingereicht-164151412\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>News report from Tele1<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also on the <strong>Euroairport Basel<\/strong> light aviation is under pressure.
