There is good news for light aviation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The KVF-N approved the amended Art. 51 by a clear majority. This generally provides for the licensing of microlight aircraft up to 600 kg take-off weight, as is customary in Europe. This means that this category is now included in Swiss law. The second piece of good news concerns the repeal of Art. 9 regarding customs airfields. <em>The Federal Customs Administration has signaled that the regulations for cross-border flights should be aligned with the regulations for road vehicles.<\/em> In both cases, the AeCS was able to carry out intensive preparatory work for these adjustments thanks to the representation of National Councillor and Central President Matthias Samuel Jauslin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With regard to alcohol checks, the Commission has decided that the extension to ground staff should only apply to airports certified under EU law, but not to regional airports or airfields.
