FAI delegates from the General Aviation Commission met for a productive annual meeting in Lucerne from February 26 to 28, 2026. Around 30 delegates from 15 nations represented the interests of their national associations.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The General Aviation Commission comprises the subcommittees from precision flying, rally flying, the air navigation race and record flying. The conference began on Thursday afternoon with a preparatory board meeting. The representatives brought their proposals to the main meeting in the afternoon. Changes or adjustments to the regulations are usually the result of past experience. The discussed rule changes were voted on at the delegates' meeting on Saturday. The agenda also included the discussion of future competitions, elections, finances and other topics.\u00a0<\/p>

\"Have achieved good results\"<\/h4>

After the impressive 3D film experience \"Space: a new era of space travel\", delegates and invited guests met for an aperitif followed by dinner in the Aviation Hall. Ralf Grunwald, President of the GAC since last March, expressed his satisfaction with the work of the delegates. \"We were very successful and achieved good results,\" he concluded. He presented Esther Rimensberger with an FAI certificate as a token of thanks and appreciation for the successful organization and implementation. She is also happy with the outcome. She received positive feedback from the guests.\u00a0<\/p>

Locality inspired<\/h4>

A fondue meal on the Willhelm Tell, a guided tour of the KKL and a conference venue at the Swiss Museum of Transport: this was well received by the participants. The fact that this was financially viable is thanks to the generous support of the Swiss Motorized Flight Association, which provided the funding for Swiss championships that did not take place in previous years. Organizer Esther Rimensberger, who is also the Swiss delegate and chair of the Precision Flying Committee, was also able to count on support from the AeCS Aviation Fund, the PFA - Precision Flying Association Switzerland and the AeCS Motor Flight Veterans. \"This enabled us to cover around 50 percent of the costs, so that the delegates were somewhat relieved despite the Swiss prices,\" says Esther Rimensberger.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
